Jason
"Hutch" Hutchins
has a total of 14 years of full time law enforcement
experience. He began his career with the Durham Police
Department in 1992 and worked there until April of 1998 when
he moved to Johnston County to
be closer to his family. There he joined the Clayton
Police Department. In April of 2000 he was promoted from
patrol officer to patrol sergeant. Since being in law
enforcement he has been involved in the community he serves.
Some of the
organizations he is proud of being a part of include the Durham Exchange Club of Oak Grove
(Charter Member), Ruitans of Clayton, Johnston County Council on Aging (Meals
on Wheels), Carolina Pipes and Drums (Charter Member) and
Member of Clayton Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2004 he was
selected as Police Officer of the Year for the Clayton
Police Department as a reflection of his dedication of service to the
Town and his involvement in his community. On March 6, 2006
the Johnston County Fraternal Order of Police was Chartered
by law enforcement officers of the county in which his peers
unanimously nominated him for which the position he holds
today.

Ryan Benson
is a life long resident of
Johnston County and currently resides in Wilson's Mills. He
Graduated from East Carolina University in 1994 - receiving
a BS degree in Criminal Justice. He began his law
enforcement career with the Johnston County Sheriff's Office
in 1995 and is currently assigned to the Criminal
Investigations Division-Major Crimes. Ryan is a member of
the Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team - holding a
certification as a SARTECH II and is currently one of the
four assigned team leaders. Ryan is also a member of the
Sheriff's Office Incident Management Team and has been
serving with the Wilson's Mills Fire and Rescue since 1993.

Harold Mitchell a
Philadelphia - PA born native and is a ten year veteran of
the United States Air Force. After serving his country
he became a police officer and has been serving since 1987.
He is married with three children.
Deputy Mitchell now works with the Johnston County
Sheriff's Department. He presently holds the office of
chaplain of the Fraternal Order of Police - Lodge 88. His
motto is - "actions speaks louder then words"

Jeff Porter
is originally from Oklahoma. He came to North Carolina
through the Army in 1990 after serving in Saudi Arabia
during the first Persian Gulf War. In 1993 he entered
into law enforcement working for the Smithfield Police
Department. In 1997 he became Smithfield's first K-9
officer. He is the recipient of several K-9 related
awards through the United States Police Canine Association;
including being the first K-9 officer to receive the Earl
Godwin Memorial Award. He began serving with the
Clayton Police Department as a K-9 officer in February of
2001 where he also rose to the rank of Sergeant in September
of the same year. Some of the organizations he has
been a member of and proudly represent are the CPD Honor
Guard, NC XII Blue Nights Motorcycle Club, Masonic Lodge 191
and the Johnston County Shriners. Jeff is also proud
to be a charter member for the Johnston County FOP Lodge 88
and it's first lodge trustee. |

John LeQuire
is originally from Minnesota where he began his law
enforcement career nearly 17 years ago. After 8 years
with two suburban Minneapolis area police departments, he
wanted a change of pace and a better quality of life. He
found it in North Carolina. He served with the Benson
Police Department for 6 years, rose to the rank of Sergeant
and created a Traffic Enforcement program with grants from
the North Carolina Governors Highway Safety Program before
coming to the Clayton Police Department in 2004 where he is
currently assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit. He
is a charter member of NC FOP Lodge 88 and currently serves
as the Recruitment Chairman for the Lodge.

Joe Brady began his
law enforcement officer is 1994 in a small metropolitan
department outside of Chicago, IL. He served as a
Darien Police officer for 6 years before joining the ranks
of the Chicago Police Department in 2000 where he worked
on
violent crime reduction strategies and accountability
concerns for day to day operations of the CPD. Joe also served as
Pipe Sergeant with the
Chicago Police Pipe Band
and the
Bagpipes
and Drums of the Emerald Society, Chicago Police
and has played the bagpipes from Carnegie Hall to the Palace
of Monaco. In 2005 Joe's spouse was offered employment
in North Carolina and he followed her career and was lucky
enough to be hired
by another CPD - Clayton Police Department. He was instrumental in
chartering lodge 88 in Johnston County where there was a
lack of Fraternal Order of Police representation which he was
accustomed to in Chicago. Joe also formed a
bagpipe band as a tribute to fallen public safety officers
and is musical director for the
Wake & District Public Safety
